Keitz received a travelgrant for her artist residency at 18th SAC in Los Angeles from the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.
Keitz was in the age of 12 when the Berlin Wall came down. This 'earthquake' on a social and also personal level let the painful certainty emerge early on, that nothing is as stable as it appears and everything can disappear at any time. The dealing with the term of instability and absence is at the center of Stephanie Keitz´s practice, which utilizes sculpture, object and drawing.
Stephanie Keitz lives and works in Berlin and Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.
